Skin type: All

Coverage:medium-to-full (depending on application)
Size: .5 gram

A corrector is intended to cover the area like a concealer. Our Color Correctors are made to neutralize discoloration. After correcting the area apply your Creme Minerals foundation, then you can follow with Get Loose if needed.

Creme Correctives are excellent for covering dark circles, bruises or for neutralizing redness. We have 6 shades to choose from. Each color has the power to block out another. Every skin discoloration can differ in color. For example, one’s dark circles may be gray, while someone else’s is blue or reddish.

Does not contain petroleum-derived ingredients or such as Dimethicone, Butylene Glycol, Pentylene Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Mineral oil, Petrolatum, Ethoxydiglycol or silicone-based additives (ingredients ending with -cone, -conol, or -xane), all of which give that silky feel to products, but can lead to clogged pores and may do more harm than good.

GINGER (deep orange) This is excellent under eye concealer for foundation shades 9-12

DAHLIA (brick red) - This is excellent corrector for shades 13-15

GREEN TEA (green) - neutralizes redness such as rosacea on porcelain skin tones. But be careful that you are not trying to neutralize temporary redness, such as what occurs after exercise when your skin may look red because when the redness disappears your skin will look like it has a mask on it. Also can be used for covering blemishes, zits, red blotches, rosacea, port-wine stains

SUNFLOWER (yellow) - Perfect for hiding those dark areas around the eye prior to applying your Crème Minerals. Can be used to conceal bluish bruises, under-eye circles and mild red tones on the face. Ideal for shades 2, 3, 6 and 7.

APRICOT (peachy) - Used for canceling dark areas for medium brown skin tones that have hyper-pigmentation or discoloration. Ideal for shades 68, 7, 78.

ROSE (pink) - This color brightens darkened areas. It neutralizes brown - think: age spots or the brown discolorations on lighter skin tones. It is also great for brown bone and inner corner of the eye.

HOW TO USE

Apply foundation before you apply the concealer. If you do not use foundation, the concealer can be applied directly to your bare skin.

Dab a small amount of concealer from the stick onto your finger or a small makeup brush. Then apply the concealer to the center of the blemish or under-eye area.

If you prefer, you can dab concealer onto your skin directly from the stick, but this method doesn’t allows for as much precision.

Use a fingertip or brush to gently blend the concealer outward from the center of the blemish or discolored area until it appears to match the rest of your skin tone.

Dust our SHEER translucent powder over the concealer before it dries completely. This will set the concealer and help prevent it from rubbing off over the course of the day

Excellent Product

I was shocked to find that a color corrector actually works. I have never tried one before, but I have such dark under eye circles I thought I would give it a try, and these color correctors are awesome. You only need a real little bit under the eye and be sure to blend well. Then I put a concealer right over it and my under eye looks so much brighter and well covered. I didn't need half as much concealer as I usually do. I sampled both the sunflower and apricot and honestly I think they both work well for dark under eye circles (maybe more so the sunflower if you have more of a yellow undertone like me). Not to mention, Plain Jane's customer service is awesome. Prompt responses and it's nice talking to a real person. Will definitely order from this company again.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a kind review. Isn't it exciting to unexpectedly find something that works! :-)

We're thrilled to hear that our color correctors have worked so well for you and helped with your dark under eye circles. We're also glad to hear that you had a positive experience with our customer service (thanks for sharing that part too) - we always strive to provide the best support for our customers. Thank you for choosing Plain Jane Beauty and we look forward to serving you again in the future!

Color corrector

This is my 1st time using a color corrector for dark circles. I chose the peach. It's working. Once I buy a lighter concealer to go with it, I believe it will be even better.

Works like a charm

I bought the samples of the apricot, yellow, and pink color correctors. I’m on the lighter skinned side with pink/red undertones so I wanted some options to try out for color correcting under eye darkness and some random hyperpigmented areas as well. The apricot does amazing for my under eyes which have a reddish and yet also bluish discoloration. I do use concealer on top of that, and the combo is perfect! I use the pink to target areas of hyperpigmentation and it is like literal magic the way those spots instantly disappear!! I love these color correctors, they have immediately become part of my daily routine!

Really Yellow

While this seems to be a good product, it is a deep yellow and was too much color for my fair skin. However, if you do have prominent blue or gray under eye circles, it would probably cover really well.

Green tea for the win!

I have oily, acne-prone skin and my chin area has lots of acne scarring. The green tea color corrector does an amazing job of neutralizing this redness. Other brands of green color correctors that I've tried in the past have shown up as too green, even when properly blended and covered in foundation. Not the case with this brand. I also use a bit of the sunflower corrector under my eyes, especially on days where I look a bit tired.
